the beginning

A new blog is created every half second. So here's to my half second of fame.

I intend on using this blog to communicate the changes in Owen's life and watch him grow. I'm hoping our friends and family will enjoy reading this. Hopefully pictures will be good bribes for reading.

So here's my cute story for today. Owen climbs down stairs backwards, on his belly. At day care he has begun to drop to the floor earlier and earlier before the stairs. He now is dropping to the floor about 10 feet before the stairs and then wiggling on his belly until he gets to the stairs, then goes down them. He's incredibly cute doing this.

The title of this blog comes from Owen's current fascination with fish. Richard has brainwashed the poor boy. We have a family aquarium with lots of fish and a little tank with a beta fish in Owen's room. Owen used to call them "ish," then called them "bish" and now can occasionally say "fish." He always says the word with enthusiasm. When he wakes up from his nap or in the morning, he points out the various fish in his room (in the tank- "bish!", on the posters- "bish!", on his sheets- "bish! bish! bish!").

It's raining and snowing this morning. brrr.
