summertime in vermont
We flew up to Vermont in time for the forth of July. We spent the day at Roger and Ivonne's house for the annual "forth of July float in the pool." Both boys had a great time playing with Kobe and his toys, and Owen and Kobe continued to get along great. When not in the pool, they worked on making music together, on a keyboard and on the computer. Grandma was post-back surgery, but pre-hip surgery, so we didn't go hiking up any mountains this trip and stayed close to home.
We enjoyed an afternoon with Thomas and Kathy at their house, got to meet their baby goats and big dogs. Ben and Owen loved the goats and their house with it's many hiding places. We loved the house too- a beautiful historic home full of wood and interesting character.
We spent a day lake-side with Kobe, Roger and Ivonne, swimming and playing on the beach. They had paddle boats for rent, which we took for a lap around the lake. Our two families plus Grandma Sally also went to mini-golf and go-karts for an afternoon. Owen and Kobe enjoyed speeding around the track with their dads. We had a great time enjoying the summer activities and catching up with everyone.
