thomas and kathy's wedding

The first event of our trip to Vermont was Uncle Thomas' wedding. 2009 has been good to Owen- he's gotten a brother and two new aunts- Molly in February and now Kathy. The rehearsal dinner was Friday night at the Arlington Inn. The kids found a playground and entertained themselves until the dinner started. Ryan helped Owen relax and have fun, and we all enjoyed a nice evening.

The wedding on Saturday was in Manchester. It was a beautiful service, which included a song written and sung by Roger. Owen and Ben both did great during the service. Owen and I learned the power of using Smarties as a bribe- next time I may choose a candy with a less crinkly wrapper.

It rained during the service, but cleared up in time for the reception, which was at Thomas and Kathy's house. They had completely re-landscaped the house for the wedding and it was beautiful- the house was repainted, they added a white picket fence, and had candlelit everything. We all had a very fun evening and are so happy for Thomas and Kathy.
