wedding in plymouth

Richard's sister, Nancy, got married in Plymouth, Massachusetts in the middle of October to Justin Carr.  We were all excited to head East and see the family.  Plus the boys always love getting on a plane for any reason.  This was an especially easy trip across the country due to direct Portland to Boston flights.

Richard's family all stayed at the same hotel, and the cousins got a chance to play and swim, and the parents got a chance to catch up.  Friday we walked around Plymouth and saw the replica Mayflower and the actual (maybe) Plymouth Rock.  I think I was expecting the rock to be larger, but it was still impressive and fun to see.

The rehearsal dinner was Friday night at a waterfront restaurant, and the cousins favorite part was getting to play with the projector showing pictures of cute, young Nancies and Justins.  We enjoyed mingling with Justin's family and catching up with our family.

Saturday was the big event.  The wedding was in a beautiful chapel in Plymouth- looked perfectly New England.  Richard had the tremendous honor of walking Nancy down the aisle, and did so looking dashing in his tux.  Nancy was a beautiful bride- the dress was perfect for her and she looked amazing. Susan was a bridesmaid and also looked beautiful with a Fall colored red dress and flowers.  The boys mostly did well during the service.  I opened the iPad for Ben when he was getting a little restless.  I had it on mute, but somehow Elmo's voice still came out.  iPad was closed immediately.  Ben stayed calm, thankfully.  The reception was at a golf course in Plymouth. Nancy had beautiful flowers and cake, and a delicious meal.  The boys got restless for the pictures, but enjoyed the rest of the reception- dancing a little off of the dance floor and being silly with their cousins.  We all had a fun evening and were happy to have been a part of the celebration for Nancy and Justin.
