boating in virginia

Our annual trek to Virginia began soon after summer vacation started for the boys.  Grandpa was waiting for us with a week of fun prepared.  We spent some time each day swimming- either in the pool or the river, and Owen went boating with Grandpa almost every day.  Owen loves boating, and really loves it when the boat goes fast.

Ben decided that he knew how to swim this summer.  For Ben this was a matter of strong will not practice, and he showed us he was right by actually swimming across the pool.  This made him a pretty dangerous guy but also opened up a bunch of fun.  All of us participated in synchronized jumps from the side of the pool.

Floating, eating, playing, swimming- pretty much a great week in Virginia!
